About us

The Greening Australia not-for-profit community nursery is managed by Greening Australia and staffed by volunteers. The aim of the nursery is to educate, provide support and information as well as grow native plants for South East Queensland and to return our native flora and fauna to its appropriate place in the landscape.

A mere 10 kilometres from the heart of Brisbane city the nursery is more than just a place to buy plants! It is a pleasant, natural hide-away where informed volunteers can provide technical advice about Australia's native vegetation, especially for South East Queensland species. Around 100,000 plants are stocked at any time, comprising over 400 native species.

The nursery can supply native plants and fact sheets for many purposes:

Brisbane suburbs species
Bird attracting plants
Frog attracting plants
Bush tucker
Butterfly hosts
Koala food plants
Rainforest gardens
Wetlands plants
and many, many more!
